We are pleased to announce the release of the new Metadata Wizard from MerlinXL.
The MerlinXL Metadata Wizard is an Excel add-in that provides the same functionality as the discontinued Oracle HFM Windows Client, plus other useful features.
- Download or open HFM metadata or profile xml files
- View and edit members and attributes
- Add, delete, copy, paste, and move members
- Export to Excel and edit in Excel
- Bulk member load
- Import from other metadata xml files
- Compare metadata xml files and report all differences
- Upload directly to Non-Production HFM applications (named Admins only!)

The software is available in two versions:
- A standalone version using XML files manually downloaded from HFM
- A connected version dynamically linking to HFM
