The EPM Maestro Suite is a set of dynamic functions designed to enhance your Hyperion Financial Management (HFM) usability. Utlised by dozens of Oracle's HFM clients worldwide, the EPM Maestro Suite creates simple and effective user and administration functions, improving the success of your implementation.
The EPM Maestro Suite is complemented by the EPM Web Symphony, and together they provide the finishing touch to your HFM environment.
The EPM Maestro Suite was first available in early 2004. It is currently available for all HFM versions between 3.x and 9.3.x. Time-limited evaluation versions of both products are available to try

Simple Task Construction
Tasks can be easily built to span multiple years, periods and scenarios, even where the scenarios have different frequencies. It is therefore possible to extract or consolidate an entire application in a single step.
Document Management
The EPM Maestro Suite can extract and load web documents between applications. This allows web documents to be kept in sync across multiple applications with minimum effort.
Process Management
When adding new entities to HFM, the entities normally begin at the 'not started' level. Publishing these entities across multiple Scenarios and Years can be a time-consuming process. With the EPM Maestro Suite, these tasks are completed quickly and easily.
In addition, rejection of entities is very simple using the EPM Maestro Suite. Simply enter the name of the Entity you want to reject and the desired Process level, and the EPM Maestro Suite handles the rest. If any parents need to be rejected, these will automatically be processed, even if they exist in multiple hierarchies.
The process management functionality fully supports Phased Submission
Performance Analysis
HFM records a lot of useful information in task audit logs. The EPM Maestro Suite makes this information more accessible by continually archiving and collating logs in a format which can easily be analysed.
For example, if a user complains about consolidation performance, you will be able to look up the time taken for every consolidation performed by that user, as well as overall trends.
The EPM Maestro Suite also archives data audit logs.
Data Extraction
The design of the EPM Maestro Suite even adds value to simple tasks, such as data extraction. In the EPM Maestro Suite, you can:
- Extract data automatically into date stamped folders, which can be automatically generated as zip files. This allows 'soft backups' to be made, allowing data for an entity or division to be 'rolled-back' to an earlier stage.
- Extract data into a single file. Imagine that you're renaming or deleting an account and need to know if it contains data. With EPM Maestro, it is simple to extract that account for all scenarios and years into a single data file.
Automation
Tasks can be automated using the Windows Task Scheduler to run unattended.
